Recycling

AMITY USES SINGLE STREAM COLLECTION
All items may be placed in the same container, which must be clearly marked with the universal recycling symbol.  If you were not issued a Recycling Bin, they are available at the Township building.  If your bin is damaged/broken/unusable, please bring it to the Township office for a replacement.  In addition, free stickers are available at the Township Building and may be placed on a bin of your choice. Please be sure to secure your materials so the wind (which seems to blow more often these days) doesn’t take your materials into a neighbor’s yard. If you have a round bin issued by Amity, we have lids for this purpose. We also have roll-out carts available to residents (1 per household). Additional guidance can be found on JP Mascaro’s website.

We recommend you place your recycling container(s) at curbside the night before your designated pickup dates. Anyone living along the major arteries: Rt. 422, Rt. 662 or Rt. 562, pick up will be done between the hours of 4:00 am and 6:00 am. All other streets will be picked up after 6:00 am. If the recycling company mistakenly misses your recycling, please call the Township office at 610-953-0016 and leave a message or call JP Mascaro & Sons at 1-800-334-3403. DO NOT PUT BINS IN THE STREET. Going on vacation?  Missed your pickup day?  No worries, there is a dumpster at the Township Building (near our gas pumps) where you can place your recyclables.  There are three compartments – the lids open from the top.  Please be sure to use the bin clearly marked for recycling – the Mascaro Dumpster is for Township office use ONLY.
