PERMIT DEPARTMENT
It is the intent of the Amity Township Board of Supervisors to promote the general health, safety and
welfare of the citizens of the Township of Amity, Berks County, Pa and to conform to the requirements of
the Pennsylvania Construction Code Act and the regulations of the Act promulgated by the Pennsylvania
Department of Labor and Industry.
On June 29, 2004, Amity Township elected to administer and enforce the provisions of the Pennsylvania
Construction Code and the Uniform Construction Code 35 P.S. 7210.101-7210.1103.as amended.

permit. This table provides a brief summary of what types of improvements, alterations and repairs
