Chief of Police

Chief Smith was sworn in April of 2019 by Judge Steven Chieffo at the Board of Supervisor meeting.
Chief Smith has served as a police officer for 20 years, last as a Sergeant in Amity Township. While in Amity he has served as Patrolman, Detective and Fire Marshal.

Chief’s Message:

It is with great pleasure to have been afforded this wonderful opportunity to serve as your Chief. With that said, my priorities will focus around this agencies’ forward progress, improving the quality of life, professionalism and dedication to service, and most importantly, your safety. The Amity Township Police Department is a progressive organization made up of men and women who are dedicated professionals. Our Officers possess the highest standards of professional integrity, enabling them to prevent crime, enforce the laws of the Commonwealth, and work as community problem-solvers. I am proud to come to work every day with people who make a significant and positive difference in our community.
