Parking tickets can be paid during normal business hours at the Amity Township Police Department, 2004 Weavertown Road, Douglassville, PA 19518. What constitutes an abandoned vehicle?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A vehicle (other than a pedalcycle) is abandoned on public streets if it is parked for more than 48 hours while displaying an expired inspection or registration sticker; is in an inoperable condition; or is parked illegally. \u00a0A vehicle is abandoned on private property if it has been parked there for more than 24 hours without the consent of the property owner, in which case the property owner or designee must report the vehicle as abandoned.\u00a0 Call 610-655-4911 to report an abandoned vehicle.<\/p>\n

How do I report a crime in the Township?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Crimes can be reported in several ways: For emergencies, dial 911; For non-emergencies, call the Berks County Communications Center non-emergency line at (610) 655-4911; Personally make reports at our office; and by completing online report forms that can be obtained through this website and forwarding them to our department.<\/p>\n

What is the curfew for juveniles (any person under the age of 18) in Amity Township?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The curfew in Amity Township is weekdays (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) from 10:00 PM to 06:00 AM and weekend days (Friday and Saturday) from 11:59 PM to 06:00 AM unless accompanied by a parent or guardian from November 2nd<\/sup> to October 19th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

From October 20th<\/sup> to November 1st<\/sup>, the curfew is 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.<\/p>\n

If you would like to request a Motor Vehicle Accident form, please call the Police Department Administrative Office at 610-953-0022 for further assistance Monday through Friday from 8:00AM \u2013 4:30PM.<\/p>\n

I’m going away from my home for vacation\/travel\/etc. Should I contact the police department?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Amity Township Police Department offers vacation security checks to residents. Officers will do a periodic check of the exterior of your home while you are away. Your house will be checked by an officer every other day, depending on the manpower and availability of officers. If your house check goes beyond 30 days, your house will be checked on a bi-weekly basis.<\/u> For the safety of our officers, house checks will not be conducted if walkways and pathways on the property are not clear of snow and ice.<\/p>\n
