Amity Township, Berks County, PA with a population of 13,396, 34 employees and an annual budget of $6,000,000 has a need for an experienced Code Enforcement Officer/Asst. Zoning Officer. This is a highly responsible part-time salaried, exempt position, assisting the Director of Codes and Life Safety. Under general supervision, the incumbent of this position performs enforcement work related to quality-of-life issues such as property maintenance and similar activities as outlined in local codes, ordinances, and laws. Where violations are noted, action to secure compliance is instituted. Serves as backup to the building code official and manages the Township’s MS4 Program. Successful applicants will possess at least 2 years of relevant experience in Codes, Zoning, MS4 and building codes, with the ability to build positive relationships.
