The state Department of Health will offer free potassium iodide, or KI, tablets on June 12, to Pennsylvanians who are within 10 miles of any of the state’s four active nuclear power plants as part of routine preventative efforts in case of potential radiation emergencies. The facilities include Beaver Valley Power Station; Limerick Generating Station; Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station; and Susquehanna Steam Electric Station.
