Nicholson Ave will be closed between Lake Dr. & Fernwood Dr. for the duration of the project. Update: Nicholson will be closed from SR 662 to Lake Drive from September 14th through September 23rd for milling and paving.
Recycling Collection – please ensure your materials are out by the curb the night before collection day. JP Mascaro will be collecting between 6 and 7 am to avoid construction and misses.
Schuylkill River Greenways Trail Guides
We are excited to share SRG’s new Ride Guides for the SRT between Pottstown & Reading. SRG also completed a guide for the SRT between Valley Forge and Pottstown and will also provide guides for the Philadelphia region and eventually for the trail north of Reading.
We are really excited about these new guides. The guides expand on the experience of the SRT and its connections to many of the trails and features that the partners in this group manage. The guide was designed to be travelling pocket guide that connects the long distance user to other regional trails, attractions, restaurants, lodging, and trail friendly businesses. In combination with the guides, SRG has setup a curated trip with Take-It-Outdoors to start a bike trip in Reading, lodging in Pottstown, and end in Valley Forge.

Yard Waste / Recycling Center Access Registration
Amity Township has been forced to implement additional controls on our Yard Waste / Recycling Center. In early September, a gate system will be activated and residents will need to have an access code to enter the facility. Be advised this facility is under surveillance 24×7. Access codes can be obtained by completing the Registration Form and uploading your vehicle registration or by stopping into the municipal office between 8am & 4:30pm with your vehicle registration. You will be given a unique code which should not be shared with anyone else. You will need to enter the code to enter the site. When leaving the site, the gate will open as you approach. Please remember to follow the posted regulations. Thank you!
